UNTITLED at 3 Freeman Alley

Very well designed common areas and rooms. The tiny rooms are so well organized you don’t notice how small they are. Comfortable breakfast area with great music and plenty of space to work.

Great aesthetic. Genuine flare not like a T.G.I.F. or some other themed out monstrosity. The location itself, reminds me of a spot you might find in Tokyo. Small and tucked away in a peaceful pocket of the busy city. I could spend hours in the cafe or back garden reading magazines and sipping ice cold cold brew(it’s that peaceful). Rooftop, which was our main agenda for the forth of July weekend was perfection. Drinks are well prepared, sound is good and seats are all cushy and perfect for lounging and getting nice. Watching day turn into night is worth the gas fees. Unlimited is an amazing work. Lots of thought and care into aesthetics and design details as is expected in NYC. In short, the outfit fits the man and not the other way around.

The hotel is in a brilliant location. The immediate Lower East Side area is great and Nolita/SoHo are both very close. Lots of nearby subway links to get to East Village or Brooklyn for something further afield. Midtown and Uptown Manhattan also easy to get to. The staff were really friendly and helpful. The communal spaces are excellent and compensate for the small rooms that are typical of NYC, with a large breakfast area people could chill out in. Storing bags on the last day after check out was easy and Tim, the hotel manager, had great recommendations for the local area. The vibe is cool and urban, and the hotel's approach a colourful alleyway full of street art; never seen so many people doing selfies, fashion shoots/videos and music videos as in that alleyway. It felt like you were in the heart of a buzzing space where people wanted to be.

The size of the studio mini was perfect as a solo traveler. The water pressure was good, and the hot water was always available. The room was well air conditioned. The room came with a carafe of filtered water but there was also a filtered water refill station on every floor, which was useful for me since I had brought a water bottle and would be out exploring most of the day; saved some dough and some plastic. All of the staff members that I interacted with were friendly and helpful. I also like that the hotel uses pin number keys instead of physical keys as it is one less thing to keep track of.

Great area to work and get coffee in the morning. They give you 1 complimentary cup of coffee (latte etc) per guest as well as pastry each day 7-11. Conveniently located to Noho/soho/LES. The alley itself is cool and the staff couldn’t have been nicer.
